If you're planning to head to the Punchestown Music Festival later this month and boogie the night away to Lionel Richie et al, there's even better news - you can now line your belly with some tasty grub in the presence of a celebrity chef.
No, it's not Gordon Ramsay - he's way too vulgar for our sensibilities, anyway. Instead, Irish chef Andrew Rudd will be on hand to present an 'incredible' dining experience at the racecourse's Panoramic Restaurant on July 23rd.
Rudd is best known as the proprietor of the newly-opened Medley restaurant on Fleet Street and for this Punchestown event, he has teamed up with Aidan Meyler, renowned Maître D and owner of Flanagan’s Restaurant on Dublin’s O’Connell Street.
If you've already bought your ticket, you can upgrade it to include dinner. If not, tickets for the gig including a fancy dinner are available for €127.50 including booking fee, and available through Ticketmaster. There are sittings available at 5pm and 7.30pm. It's not cheap, but it sure beats a sad tray of overcooked chips.
Lionel Richie will be joined by Shane Filan, Sister Sledge, James Morrison, Corinne Bailey Rae and Albert Hammond across the course of the day.
