The X Factor tour rolled into Dublin's 3Arena last night, but even winner Ben Haenow must have been wary of enjoying his time at the top while he still can.

It's almost an inevitability that any X Factor winner will eventually be dropped by their label when their success on the show fails to translate to longevity - and that fate has now befallen Sam Bailey, who won the series in 2013.

Bailey has been dropped by Syco - the Simon Cowell-owned imprint that all winners of the show are signed to - 14 months after winning the show, even though her album sold pretty well and reached number one upon its release.

The album, 'The Power of Love', was comprised of mostly covers, but her contract has not been renewed for a follow-up.

"Everyone wishes Sam all the best for the future. After discussion, it was just felt it was the right time to follow different paths," a label source reportedly told the Daily Mail.

Bailey later tweeted about 'exciting times ahead', so it doesn't look like there were any hard feelings….
