Killing Bono is the upcoming movie adaptation of the novel 'Killing Bono: I Was Bono's Doppelganger' by Neil McCormick, a semi-autobiographical tale of the author's time at school with the U2 boys and his own band with his brother which could never match the success of their rival band.

The film is due for release in April 2011, and stars Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian, who as it turns out can do a pretty decent Irish accent) as Neil McCormick and Robert Sheehan (one of our brightest young actors, you'll have spotted him recently in Channel 4 paranormal drama 'Misfits') as brother Ivan. Directed by Nick Hamm (The Hole, 2001), the film features music from Derry singer songwriter Joe Echo.

Here at entertainment.ie, we're lucky enough to have the world premiere of the film's trailer, which also features music by Joe Echo and suggests Killing Bono will be a highly entertaining watch come Springtime. Watch it now over on our cinema trailers page.
