Aussie psychedelic hard rock three piece Wolfmother have issued a statement confirming that, after rumours of a falling out, they have resolved to go their separate ways. The statement issued by the band's label, Universal Music Australia, revealed that bassist/keyboardist Chris Ross decided to leave the band, due to the usual "personal and musical differences." Most likely that's industry speak for "he wanted to punch the other two in their big curly haired hat racks". Following on from this, drummer Myles Heskett made the decision to leave the band, rather than continue as part of a new line-up. Apparently Ross and Heskett have been writing together and "plan to focus their energies as part of a new line-up". Perhaps it was just frontman Andrew Stockdale that was asking for a punching then? After being abandoned by both his fellow bandmates, Stockdale has dignifiedly vowed to continue making music under the Wolfmother moniker, and is looking for musicians to complete the line-up and start work on a new album before the end of the year. Oh what a relief to fans that must be...
