The newly blond former One Directioner practically broke the internet last night when he deleted all the posts from his Instagram account, including those with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid. He then uploaded a short video which fans speculated signals the arrival of a new song and/or album.
The video begins with Malik gazing out over the ocean and then cuts to cinematic, quick-fire clips of him and a group of shady looking actors.
His previous album, Mind of Mine, was released in 2016 so he’s probably due another album which, if we go by the caption, should be dropping on Thursday.
He wouldn’t be the first performer to delete social media accounts in a bid to hype a new release. Taylor Swift did something very similar last August ahead of ‘Reputation’.
