Remember Staind? Seriously...anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
Well, in case you needed a reminder, here's one of their biggest hits from back in the early 2000s when nu-metal ruled the airwaves, ’It's Been a While’, or 'Issssbinawherrr', as it was pronounced by lead singer Aaron Lewis when he performed it.
Last night, just when you thought you might never hear from Staind again, Aaron Lewis popped up to sing the national anthem at the World Series game between the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals on Sunday, and it wasn't great. Apart from the aforementioned over-the-top pronunciation issues, he forgot the words and ended up using the same lines a few times.
In all honesty, we feel a bit sorry for him, everyone has a brain fart every now and then.
Aaron took to Facebook to apologise to everyone who endured it though, saying "All I can say is I'm sorry and ask for the Nation's forgiveness. My nerves got the best of me and I am completely torn up about what happened. America is the greatest country in the world". 'MURICA!
