You'd be hard-pressed to find a contemporary British indie band who weren't influenced by The Smiths in some shape or form.
Alex Turner of Arctic Monkeys has spoken about his love for the band growing up, and when playing in Manchester last night, he got to play one of their songs with one of the men who wrote.
Johnny Marr joined Turner's other band The Last Shadow Puppets for a performance of the Smiths song 'Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me'.
