He's not asking for much, is he? Rapper Rick Ross has been embroiled in a long-running and very public feud with his fellow MC 50 Cent over the last five years or so, but says that he would call it quits if it meant an end to racism.
The pair's falling-out goes back to 2009, when 50 Cent posted a sex tape online featuring the mother of one of Ross's children, Lastonia Leviston. He was later ordered to pay out $5 million to Leviston for the incident.
The pair have swapped diss tracks over the years, and Ross made fun of Fiddy's declaration of bankruptcy earlier this year - but in a new interview, said that he would be willing to lay aside his differences if it meant an end to racism.
Speaking on The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, the host put a dilemma to Ross, saying "The universe offers you a deal. You can end racism forever, but you have to become good, close friends with 50 Cent. You have to hang out at the pool together, you got to go eat together, take ski trips together. I don’t care, whatever, you guys are pals. Do you do it?”
He responded: “I’ma keep it 100. I’m going to stop racism. If I gotta take him to Wing Stop and have him eat some lemon pepper wings to stop racism, that’s what I’m gonna do.”
