Most artists strive for a career with longevity, and hope that their music will be heard long after they've departed this mortal coil - but Pharrell Williams is banking on people still caring about his music in 100 years.
The N.E.R.D. star has recorded a track called '100 Years – The Song We'll Only Hear If We Care' in partnership with cognac brand Louis XIII.
The idea is that it'll raise awareness in global warming (but strangely, mentions nothing about Trump, North Korea, nuclear war and the imminent obliteration of mankind.)
Only one copy of the track has been made, and it's been engraved on a "unique clay vinyl made from soil taken from the Louis XIII vineyard and locked in a water-vulnerable safe."
This is obviously the cognac brand's shtick, as they've previously made a film with John Malkovich that won't be released until 2115.
In any case, hopefully 'Happy' will have been erased from human consciousness once and for all by then.
