Pete Doherty was the second act to play the recently-reopened Bataclan venue in Paris last night, bringing his Libertines bandmate Carl Barat on stage for several songs.

The pair played several Libertines songs including 'Up the Bracket' together as well as duetting on Babyshambles' 'Albion',  while Doherty also contributed to a version of 'Le Marsellaise', the French national anthem, that was played on violin.

Doherty held up a French flag that had 'Fuck Forever Terrorism!', that was also scrawled with lyrics from new song 'Hell to Pay at the Gates of Heaven' that he wrote following last year's terrorist attacks. It read: "‘Come on boys, choose your weapon, J-45 or an AK-47?’"
