What do you mean, 'Why would anyone possibly want to hear New Order's 'Blue Monday' recorded on vintage instruments from the 1930s?'

Why on earth not?

If you're curious about how that might sound, on the other hand, the Orkestra Obsolete are here to answer your questions.

The enigmatic group of musicians have re-recorded the 1983 song, giving it an uber-retro refitting with instruments only available fifty years previous to its release - like the prepared piano, the theremin, the musical saw and the harmonium.

The results are pretty fascinating, to say the least - particularly since 'Blue Monday' was so progressive when it was released in the '80s.
