It's hard to imagine a Nirvana without Dave Grohl bashing away behind the drum kit, but footage of the band in their early days has just been unearthed.
It sees a 20-year-old Kurt Cobain, along with bassist Krist Novoselic and Melvins drummer Dale Crover - who played on their first demo, recorded the day before this footage was shot - playing an empty Radio Shack store in their hometown of Aberdeen, Washington.
Grohl, of course, joined the band in 1990, after they had released their debut album 'Bleach' in 1989.
