Earlier this month, actress Meryl Streep told US TV host Jimmy Fallon that she had been given a guitar lesson by the legendary Neil Young.

Now, footage of the aforementioned lesson has been made available online.

You're probably wondering why on earth this strange combination of famous people has come to pass: well, Streep is playing a failed rock star in new film 'Ricki and the Flash', and director Jonathan Demme decided that Young would be the perfect man to teach her a few tricks.

The pair reportedly spent 45 minutes together, with Young telling Streep to always "crank it up to 11". It's not Streep's first dalliance in a musical film, of course - she previously starred in the movie version of 'Mamma Mia'.
