There's no doubt that Kanye West's meeting with Donald Trump at Trump Tower the other day generated a hell of a lot of controversy.
Whatever the rapper's reasoning, it seems that not everyone is best pleased with the move - including some of his friends.
John Legend, who was given a helping hand in his career by West in his early days - and who even sang at his wedding to Kim Kardashian - has spoken out about Yeezy's meeting to French website Clique.
He said: "I don’t think it’s impossible to talk to [Trump] about issues, but I won’t be used as a publicity stunt. I think Kanye was a publicity stunt.”
He added: “I’m pretty disappointed with Kanye that he says he would have voted for Trump. I think Trump has been corrosive, his message has been corrosive to the country. I think the things he’s promised to do have been very concerning for a lot of people, and for Kanye to support that message is very disappointing.”
