Both of her parents are/were musicians/singers, so it stands to reason that Frances Bean Cobain would inherit a sense of melody from her family line.
However, you probably didn't expect the daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love to sound like this.
The 25-year-old has been dabbling in music in recent years, sharing covers of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' and Jimmy Eat World's 'The Middle' - but she has now shared her first original song on social media.
Sung without accompaniment, Cobain's jazzy vocal on the untitled song is surprising, while the lyrics include lines like: “I think I saw you when I was small/ I think I found you/ A penny for your good thoughts/ I think I found you/Jesus hangs in your place on the cross/ All these hinges become unscrewed/ Heaven knows it was a cage on earth.”
