Fox News is not a station known for its subtlety, so it'll come as no surprise that one of its anchors, Greg Gutfeld, had no trouble in speaking his mind about his musical tastes.
Gutfeld was presenting a 'musical news' segment about Koko the gorilla playing bass with RHCP bassist Flea, when he made his feelings on the band known to the world. "“As most musicians know, this is a vast improvement over the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the worst band on the planet," he said.
His co-host Eric Bolling interjected: "The producers said you should do this story, and I said, ‘No, Gutfeld is going to say the ape is better than Flea," and Gutfeld responded: "The ape is better than Anthony Kiedis. By the way, the ape is 45, which is half the age of Anthony Kiedis. Red Hot Chili Peppers: poor man’s Faith No More. don’t ever forget it.”
