If you happened to be watching the Royal Variety Performance last night to the very end, you'll have noticed that Elton John was wheeled out to play a couple of tunes amid the usual clutch of comedians and musical theatre performers.
If you looked closely, however, you might have noticed his rather intense tambourine player, who was giving it socks during 'Tiny Dancer'.
It's not like Elt to employ someone who might potentially steal the show from him, but apparently percussionist Ray Cooper - who is 73, by the way, and has worked with everyone from George Harrison to Eric Clapton over the years - has been performing with him for years.
In any case, enjoy Mr. Tambourine Man shaking his money maker below:
What a night. But can we all just take a moment to applaud Sir Elton John's tambourine player. Bravo! #RoyalVariety pic.twitter.com/bq3UI8CPTZ
