You may think that the phrase 'deaf singer' sounds like an insult, but this woman can sing better than most people with perfect hearing.
29-year-old Mandy Harvey appeared on America's Got Talent with her sign language interpreter the other night, explaining how she lost her hearing at the age of 18 due to a connective tissue disorder.
Remarkably, she taught herself to sing again with the use of visual tuners and muscle memory - and her performance quite rightly wowed Simon Cowell et al.
