Well, election day is finally here - either way, tomorrow we will know the outcome of the long-running (and long-winded) US presidential campaign.
Hillary Clinton threw everything she had at her final campaign rallies last night, with a star-studded line-up joining her in various locations that included appearances by Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga and Madonna.
Springsteen played several of his biggest hits at a rally in Philadelphia while urging people to vote for Clinton. "The choice tomorrow couldn’t be any clearer,” he said. “Hillary’s candidacy is based on intelligence, experience, preparation, and on an actual vision of an America where everyone counts – men and women, white and black, Hispanic and Natives. Where folks of all faiths and backgrounds can come together to discuss our problems in a reasonable and thoughtful way. That vision of America is essential to sustain, no matter how difficult its realisation.”
He later slammed Trump as "a man whose vision is limited to little beyond himself, who has the profound lack of decency that would allow him to prioritise his own interest and ego before American democracy itself. Someone who’d look to damage our long-cherished and admired system, rather than look to himself for the reasons beyond his own epic failure. That’s unforgivable. Tomorrow those ideas and that campaign is going down.”
He played acoustic versions of 'Thunder Road' and 'Dancing in the Dark', as seen below:
