Beyoncé has never shied away from the political, particularly when it comes to the Black Lives Matter movement or any kind of social injustice.
Unfortunately, this week has brought about more talking points for the pop star with the two most recent horrific police shootings of black men Alton Sterling and Philando Castile in Louisiana and Minnesota.
The star, who is playing Dublin's Croke Park tomorrow, has issued a statement on her website condemning the murders and urging people to 'stand up as a community' to demand respect.
What's more, during her gig in Glasgow last night she performed her song 'Freedom' a cappella, in honour of the victims of police brutality, as their names appeared on screen.
Other artists including Drake, Jay Z, Solange Knowles, Chris Brown and Swizz Beatz have all responded to the killings with statements and new songs.
