And, in short, the viewing public could not believe their ears. Or their eyes. Well, it has been quite some time - then again, she has been rather busy being a new mum.

For those who can't see the snippet, it features Adele singing (natch) with the follow subtitles: “Hello... it’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet.They say time’s supposed to heal you, but I ain't done much healing."

The songstress is thought to be releasing her new album next month, and it's set to be called 25 (which would make sense given previous titles of '19' and '21'). 

The Huffington Post reports: "Among the producers thought to have worked on the album include Ryan Tedder, Danger Mouse and Paul Epworth, while Britney Spears and Katy Perry’s go-to songwriter Max Martin is also reported to have had a hand in the release." 

Needless to say, it brought a bit of excitement to the show's seemingly never ending Six Chair Challenge, wha?!
