The theatrical trailer for the forthcoming biopic about seminal hip-hop group N.W.A. has been posted online.

It's the second trailer to be released for the film, following the red band version (i.e. the one with profanity and nudity) being revealed earlier this year.

The film follows the fortunes of the Californian group who revolutionised the genre after forming in Compton in the 1980s. Former members Dr. Dre and Ice Cube are involved in a production capacity.

It stars Paul Giamatti as their manager Jerry Heller, Jason Mitchell as Eazy-E, Corey Hawkins as Dre and O'Shea Jackson Jr., who'll play the role of his own father, Ice Cube.

It's released in the US this August, with an Irish cinema release date TBC.
