On Tuesday afternoon, Paper Planes hitmaker M.I.A. posted the video below on Twitter, captioned with the words "THERES SPACE FOR OL DAT I SEE". It has now been confirmed that it is her new single, entitled Space Odyssey, and is intended as a dig at the New York Times after they published an article in support of Sri Lankan tourism despite the gruesome human rights violations taking place there.

Seriously, are there no other songs in the world suitable for mash ups other than Billy Jean and Smells Like Teen Spirit. Apparently not. In fairness, this combination of the Nirvana classic with Lady GaGa's Poker Face is hardly the worst it's ever sounded.

Hot Chip's forthcoming new album 'One Life Stand' is due for release on February 5th. Below is the video for the title track.
