There are less subtle ways to celebrate your 70th birthday than playing a gig for 10,000+ people, but Van Morrison will do just that later this year.
Morrison turns 70 on August 31st, but is stretching out the celebrations to include a fully-seated date at Dublin's 3Arena on Friday, November 20th.
He's just released his 35th studio album, to boot - 'Duets: Re-working the Catalogue' - but there'll be plenty from his older material on the night, of course.
Tickets are €76 / €86 / €95 including booking fee, limited to four per person and on sale this Friday from usual outlets at 9am.
