Despite being billed to perform at the One Love concert in Manchester on Sunday night, one conspicuous absence was that of Usher.
The r'n'b star, who is a business partner of Ariana Grande's manager Scooter Braun, was advertised alongside the likes of Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Niall Horan and more - yet his absence was not explained on the night.
However, he took to Instagram to let fans know that the reason he was a no-show was because it was his son's first day at summer camp.
"So happy to see that last night's concert in Manchester proved that love always prevails," he wrote. "I would have loved to be there but It was my son's first day at Camp Kudzu, one of the few summer camps for kids living with diabetes. This was an important day for him and for myself as a proud father. Stay strong UK."
