£180 million, three million fans, 44 shows - U2 had a pretty good 2011. The group were the top earning band on tour this year, beating Bon Jovi into second place, who generated a paltry (by comparison at least) £120 million.
Take That, who reunited with Robbie Williams, drew £117 million for their first tour in a decade. Elsewhere on the list of top earners of 2011 was Roger Waters, Taylor Swift, Usher and Lady Gaga.
