Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross have inked a deal to score David Fincher's upcoming film adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel 'Gone Girl'. Reznor confirmed the news on his Twitter account last night, saying: "and yes, Atticus and I are scoring David Fincher's upcoming Gone Girl!"
The film stars Ben Affleck as Nick Dunne, a man accused of murdering his wife after she goes missing on their fifth wedding anniversary.
This will be the third time Fincher and Reznor have worked together, with their previous two dalliances proving incredibly fruitful. Ross and Reznor's score for Fincher's 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' earned them a Golden Globe for Best Original Score, while their work on Fincher's acclaimed 'The Social Network' saw the team win the Academy Award and Golden Globe in the score category.
The Trent Reznor news doesn't stop there, however, as the Nine Inch Nail has just been announced as performing at the Grammys alongside Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age and Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham this weekend.
