The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players and John Cooper Clarke are the first (and possibly only?) musical acts to be announced for the forthcoming Carlsberg Comedy Festival.

The four-day festival takes place at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens on July 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th, and features the likes of Des Bishop and Andrew Maxwell trying (and probably failing miserably) to make people laugh.

The Trachtenburg trio and their slideshow-inspired show are always entertaining, however, and they'll play the city centre venue on July 27th, with support from Freeze (no further info available). Tickets are €20 and on sale now.

Performance poet John Cooper Clarke, who recently played Crawdaddy, will also play the festival on an as-yet-unspecified date.
