There is a slew of great gigs happening in our fair isle this week and here are just a few which we deemed worthy of shining a spotlight on.

The Overtones will play two Irish dates this week. The velvet-voiced fivepiece are currently setting up shop in the Olympia ahead of a sold-out show there this evening and tomorrow (Wednesday 19th) will play Belfast's Ulster Hall. Tickets for that one are still on sale, so act fast.

The biggest musical treat this week (from this writer's point of view, anyway) is St. Vincent who will play the Olympia this Saturday ahead of the release of what we think will be one of the albums of the year, her self-titled fifth offering. Tickets for this one are somehow still on sale but we expect this to change at any moment, so snap 'em up.

This Sunday will see the excellent John Murry play the Pepper Canister Church in Dublin. Tix for this one are €16.50.

As well as the above, don't forget that tickets to film legend Ennio Morricone's December date in The O2 go on sale this Thursday (€86 / €106 / €131 / €156), while Eric Church tickets are available now ahead of his show in the Olympia next week (24th Feb) and lastly, but not leastly, Longitude weekend tickets are on sale RIGHT NOW! Does that mean it's nearly summer? Let's hope so.
