The location for this year's Red Bull Music Academy has been announced.
The travelling roadshow sets up shop in a city for a month and offers a number of up-and-coming musicians the chance to mingle with both their peers and some big-name acts, who provide them with workshops, lectures and performances - as well as the use of state-of-the-art studio space and the chance to collaborate at every opportunity.
The 20th edition will take place in Berlin - the city it all began in in 1998 - during September and October, and music-makers from all over the world are invited to apply now via this link. The closing date is September 4th.
We've been to the RBMA twice - including last year's edition in Montreal - and having witnessed how things work first-hand, it is 100% worth applying for a place if you're serious about furthering your career in music. Previous acts who have passed through RBMA's doors over the years include Flying Lotus, Hudson Mohawke, Katy B, Jamie Woon, Dorian Concept, Mano Le Tough and many more acts who have gone on to great success.
To mark the call for entries, an all-day session will take place at Dublin's Bernard Shaw on July 1st, featuring a Q&A with Timmy Stewart and sets by Stewart, Fort Romeau and Gary Gritness.
Entry is free, but space is limited so you must RSVP via Bodytonic here.
