Last month, we reported that The Last Shadow Puppets - i.e. Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys' other band - were recording a new album.

Turner and his cohorts Miles Kane and producer James Ford were rumoured to be working on the follow-up to 2008's 'The Age of the Understatement' after musician Owen Pallett tweeted (and then deleted) that he had played on the record.

Now, Ford has confirmed that the band have finished their new album, and will release it "sometime" in 2016.

He told Chilean site 'Rock & Pop': "This year, I’ve just done a Last Shadow Puppets record, which is the guy from Arctic Monkeys and Miles. So we did the follow-up album to that. That’s the last thing I did."
