Indie darlings The National will release their sixth album in May, according to a tweet from the official account.
The Brooklynites' last album High Violet, released in2010, was arguably the band's most successful yet. Released to widespread critical acclaim, with some claiming it to be the band's "third masterpiece in a row"? All eyes will be on them now to see if they can extend that streak.
The National have confirmed one Irish date for this summer already. Matt Berninger and his band are one of the acts names to play the Live at the Marquee concert series this summer, with their date scheduled for 28th June.
