Garth Brooks was a late addition to the Biden-Harris inauguration yesterday, but the country star turned up to sing 'Amazing Grace' for the new US president and vice-president.
However, Irish Twitter has not - and clearly WILL NEVER - forget our treatment at the hands of Brooks.
If you'll cast your mind back to 2014, you may recall that the 'Friends in Low Places' singer planned no less than five gigs at Croke Park. In fact, yesterday was coincidentally the 7th anniversary of the press conference at Croke Park to announce the gigs.
Of course, they didn't go ahead in the end, because he refused to compromise on an offer of three nights. All five gigs were cancelled, leaving 400,000 ticket holders very disappointed.
It may have been seven years ago, but we Irish are well capable of holding a grudge, as Twitter has shown...

Biden had a good relationship with Ireland until they brought out Garth Brooks. Doesn’t he know his Irish history? #Inauguration2021
