The Beatles' Abbey Road is the top selling vinyl for a third consecutive year. The 1969 classic sold 41,000 copies in 2011, rising from 35,000 in 2010 and 34,800 the year before, according to Rolling Stone.

The upward trend in vinyl sales figures mirrors that of the gradual rise of vinyl sales overall, but still only accounts for less than 4% of total music sales worldwide.
Other best sellers from 2011 were Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver and The Black Keys, who sold an impressive 14,200 units of El Camino in December alone.
