We're not entirely sure who the youngest touring member of a global rock band has been over the years, but Tye Trujillo has to be up there.
Of course, when your dad's in Metallica, your life is probably a litle different than most school-going kids.
12-year-old son of Metallica's Robert Trujillo has been enlisted as the bassist for Korn on their forthcoming South American tour, stepping in to the shoes of their regular bassist Fieldy, who cannot make the tour due to 'unforseen circumstances'.
They made the announcement on Facebook, saying "We are bummed Fieldy can’t join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye. We look forward to welcoming our brother Fieldy back when we return to the States in May."
The young Trujillo has been playing in a band called The Helmets since he was 8, so he is no stranger to the rock life - but some of Korn's South American fans reacted angrily to the news on Facebook, accusing the band of 'disrespect' and with one person saying "the kid must be a good bass player but come on guys this is not a birthday party."
