Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley has posted a picture on his personal website showing his massive weight loss after being hospitalised and nearly dying earlier this month.
The singer collapsed while drinking in his home a month ago, lapsing into unconsciousness and suffered significant kidney and liver damage as a result. Whibley wrote in a message to fans on his website that even more drink might be enough to kill him.

The singer updated fans as to his condition recently, saying:
"Hey everyone, I just wanted to thank you all so much for sending gifts and all of the compassion and support you have shown me. It really means a lot to me in this time of recovery. I will be better soon and back out on stage before you know it.
See you all soon, Deryck Whibley."
The 'Fat Lip' and 'In Too Deep' singer has said of how he intends to write and record new music as soon as he is healthy enough and has vowed to kick his alcohol addiction. His former wife Avril Lavigne has been among his well-wishers online, saying on Twitter: "Spoke to @Sum41 Deryck today. I am so proud of him. He is family to me and always will be." #staystrongderyck.
