Sprints are one of the best guitar bands to emerge from Ireland in many a year, but it seems that the Dublin band's rise hasn't been plain sailing.
A shocking social media post from the band in recent days revealed that frontwoman Karla Chubb suffered what they say is her second sexual assault on tour in recent months.
The band released their debut album 'Letter to Self' in January and have been touring steadily in both Europe and the US since then, but the assault occurred at their Belfast gig over the weekend.
They issued a statement condemning the assault, vowing "We will not stand for it and we will not be silent about it."
"Female performers should be able to engage with their audience, step off the stage or perform without fear of groping, unwanted touching, cat-calling and harassment," they wrote. "The fact that this is still an every day occurrence for most women is beyond reprehensible."

The band's Irish tour continues in the coming weeks, including two date at Dublin's Button Factory on May 3rd and 4th.
