Speculation is abound that influx of Aphex Twin images spotted in places like London and New York suggest that Richard D. James is set to release first new music since 2001.

East Londoners were treated to a slightly odd piece of viral marketing in their skies over the weekend after a mysterious blimp appeared sporting a giant Aphex Twin emblem and the numbers '2014' was spotted in the skies above Hackney.

That's not the only instance suggesting something major is afoot, either. The same emblem was stencilled on the walls of New York's Radio City Music Hall, also over the weekend. There are also suggestions that the graffiti has shown up in other locations in New York and even in Derbyshire in the UK.

The enigmatic James hasn't released a full length record of new material since 2001's 'Drukqs' and any official announcement regarding Aphex Twin is guaranteed to generate huge interest.

We're sure this one will develop over the coming days and weeks and we'll make sure to keep you up to date.
