Despite Ice Cube dropping huge hints that N.W.A. would reform for both Coachella and for their induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame this month, it looks like it's not happening.

Back in January, the rapper - who is playing a solo set at Coachella - said: "I’ve got some tricks up my sleeves … I’m gonna try to bring the members of N.W.A. together. Give everybody a little history lesson on Ice Cube and N.W.A., West Side Connection, everything I’ve been doing over the years."

He has now told The New York Times that his plan has not come to fruition and blamed the organisers of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, saying "I guess we really didn’t feel like we were supported enough to do the best show we could put on."

"We wanted to do it on a whole other level, and that just couldn’t happen. But we’re totally honored, humbled and appreciative to the Hall for even just considering us, inducting us and inviting us."
