Although the long-awaited Chinese Democracy album was a total letdown, we still have a special, leather-studded place in our heart for GNR.

It's probably because we're suckers for over-the-top '90s hard rock. In any case, it looks like the possibility of Messrs. Saul Hudson and William Rose, better known as Slash and Axl, might be getting the old band back together.

In a recent interview, Slash made the startling revelation that he and Axl were back on speaking terms following the former's exit from Guns 'N Roses in 1996. "It was probably way overdue, you know. It’s very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative... dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long."

However, on the topic of a possible re-entry, he was a bit more evasive and simply stated that he couldn't answer it just yet. It's interesting to note that Slash's solo career has done quite well - although nothing compared to the original success with GNR.

Moreover, Axl Rose's fortunes have been flagging of late. So, is a reunion on the cards? We certainly hope so. Let's just hope Axl doesn't pull a similar stunt back in 2012 at the former O2 when he walked off the stage after being pelted with plastic cups by fans.
