She is undoubtedly one of our most successful and talented musicians, but she's had her fair share of ups and downs over the years, too.
Which means that Sinead O'Connor's first memoir, which has just been announced, will definitely be worth a read.
It's called 'Rememberings' and will be published on June 1st 2021 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Books and Media.
O'Connor has been open about discussing her abusive childhood in the past, and this - as well as her rise to fame and her struggles with illness - will all be documented in 'Rememberings', which she has hinted at as far back as 2015.
She said in a statement: "This is my story, as I remember it. I had great fun writing it over the past few years", while Deb Brody of HMH Books and Media said "Many years in the making, Sinéad O’Connor’s Rememberings is a remarkably candid, intensely personal account of a life both charmed and troubled.”
O'Connor's last album was 2014's 'I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss'. Last month, she revealed that she was entering a year-long rehab programme for trauma and addiction after becoming 'briefly' addicted to an unspecified drug.
