If you're a follower of Shane MacGowan's wife Victoria Mary Clarke on social media, you'll be aware that the Pogues frontman has not been well recently.
The 65-year-old MacGowan was diagnosed with viral encephalitis - an inflammation of the brain caused by a virus - last year and is believed to have been in intensive care in recent months.
Clarke kept fans updated on the iconic musician's health, posting pictures from his hospital bed as friends including his Pogues bandmates Spider Stacy and Terry Woods visited, as well as Imelda May.
A recent post on Instagram discussed her 'terrifying fear of loss', saying "Love is the most beautiful and powerful thing that we can experience as humans but love can also feel painful especially if you are afraid of losing a person or anything else that you love.
"Sometimes when you love very deeply you will find yourself facing terrifying fears of loss that can feel so big and devastating that you don't know how you can survive them and you can't imagine life without this person that you love."
However, MacGowan has now been discharged from hospital, with Clarke posting an image of the gaunt musician while thanking those at St. Vincent's Hospital in Dublin for their care.
Get well soon, Shane.
