She spent years in an on/off relationship with one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, and it seems like Selena Gomez is still exorcising some of those demons.
Although there has been rumours about her involvement with Niall Horan (although denied by the Mullingar man), her latest single seems to take a few potshots at her former partner.
'Lose You to Love Me' sees Gomez sing lines like "I put you first and you adored it / Set fires to my forest and you let it burn /
Sang off-key in my chorus 'cos it wasn't yours". Oof.
She later says "You turned me down and now it's showing / In two months, you replaced us, like it was easy", which some have taken to reference Bieber's relationship with his now-wife, Hailey Baldwin - which began just months after splitting with Gomez in March 2018.

If you’ve followed @selenagomez for a while, you understand how much this new song and video means. It’s closure. It’s acceptance. It’s growth. It’s pain. It’s victory. It’s self love. #LoseYouToLoveMe

While Beliebers are not happy about it...
When are you going to realize you can use Justin all you want for promo but your songs are STILL going to flop? Hell your stans care more about your ex than you 💀 most likely why you can sell 8k ☕️ aren’t you tired of being Bieber’s ex? Like get new material already.

Every era Selena Gomez has ever started, since her breakup with Justin Bieber, she has released the same old boring song about the relationship that has been dead longer than some of her stans have been alive. Imagine how tired we are! #LoseYouToLoveMe pic.twitter.com/DI6zmANeAO
