There's no doubt that Ed Sheeran's forthcoming Irish tour - where he'll play multiple dates in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast - are some of the hottest tickets around right now.
However, as Ellie Goulding learned back in 2011 at William and Kate's shindig, you only get asked to play a Royal Wedding once.
Reports in American magazineUs Weekly suggest that the ginger singer has been asked to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's forthcoming nuptials on May 19th - the same day as the last of his three dates at Dublin's Phoenix Park.
What's more, People magazine report that the couple were serenaded with Sheeran's song 'Perfect' by a children's choir at an event in Edinburgh the other day, with one choir member saying: “A little birdie told us that Ed Sheeran would be playing at an upcoming wedding. But if that falls through our diary is free.”
There's little chance of him doing an Imelda May as you can imagine the uproar it'd cause - but they'd better keep a landing spot at Dublin Airport clear, just in case he needs to make a mad dash across the Irish Sea for stage time...
