Good news, if you're a fan of Roald Dahl and all things musical theatre - the Royal Shakespeare Company's 'Matilda The Musical' is coming to Dublin next year.
The brilliant adaptation of Dahl's tale of the precocious little girl with telekinetic powers, featuring songs by Tim Minchin, has been running successfully in London's West End since 2011 and has also been produced on Broadway and across the globe - and now it'll go on tour across the UK and Ireland next year.
It'll play at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre from April 4th - 28th 2018.
Minchin said: “I - like millions of others - feel like Dahl is in my blood, because I grew up with his books. So to have contributed to a piece of work that brings one of his most famous stories to life is one of my life's great joys. I’m utterly thrilled that audiences in cities all across the UK and Ireland will now share and be part of Matilda’s story.”
Tickets for the Dublin run are from €25 and will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Wednesday, April 26th 2017 at 9am.
