Rihanna is said to be putting the finishing touches to her newest album.
The follow-up to 2016's 'Anti' has been hotly anticipated ever since rumours of a double release were heard last year. Speculated to be along the lines of Outkast's 'Speakerboxx/The Love Below' Rihanna hasn't confirmed if the rumour is true, as of yet.
However, it does seem that her new album is just around the corner. Riri confirmed late last year, responding to a fan's question on one of her Instagram posts, that the album will drop in 2019. And now, music Producer The-Dream has said that the singer is "super close” to completing the record.
The Producer spoke on a New York radio station, HOT 97. He said, "She’s cooking, she’s about done. She’s about done. Super close."
Sources who spoke to Metro last year, said that "Rihanna wasn’t happy" with how her last album 'Anti' performed. They said, "She’s currently recording two albums – one full of chart-friendly songs, and another made up of moody and experimental tracks – and is considering releasing a double disc if she feels the songs won’t mesh well on the same album."
Could we see a rouble-release on the horizon? Here's hoping. Until we get more concrete information, here's Rihanna lepping around a field in Co. Down, back in 2011.
