Dublin's sultans of funk have been invited to perform in L.A. at the fourth annual Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film event next Thursday February 29th. You'd know it was an American that came with this event, otherwise they'd acknowledge that Oscar Wilde has absolutely nothing to do with film, except for having had a few made about him. Still, if they want to honour us, who are we to complain? Not Republic of Loose, certainly, as they will attend the ceremony alongside award recipients Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Brendan Gleeson, while the ever lovely Kate Winslet is on presenting duties.
