If we learned one thing about Hozier in recent times, it's that he's apparently not a man to be rushed.
The Wicklow native conquered the world with his 2014 self-titled debut album, and spent a fair whack of 2015 touring it across the globe.
Since then, he's been presumably enjoying a well-deserved break and getting songs together for its follow-up, which many expected to hear this year. However (considering there are only 18 days left of the year), it looks like we'll have to wait until 2018 to hear it, unless he has some major Christmas surprise planned.
He took to Twitter to share the news that it was 'on the way', as Gaeilge, no less, saying 'Tá nuacht agam, a chairde. Tá dea-obair á dhéanamh anois', or 'I have news, friends. Good work is being done now.'
So, now you know: it's on the way.
Tá nuacht agam, a chairde. Tá dea-obair á dhéanamh anois 🙃
Hang in there, it's on the way. https://t.co/ruvoOSZWr3— Hozier (@Hozier) December 11, 2017
