There's a joke in here somewhere, but we'll let someone else make it.

Flava Flav of hip-hop icons Public Enemy - whose trademark is wearing an oversized clock around his neck - found himself the victim of bad timekeeping last year when he was caught speeding on his way to an important appointment.

In fact, the rapper was on his way to his mother's funeral when he was pulled over by police in New York for speeding.

He appeared in court on Tuesday to answer the charges, and pleaded guilty to to unlicensed aggravated operation of a motor vehicle.

He was fined $3600 - but the outcome was relatively happy, despite the circumstances, however. He made it to the funeral on time, thanks to being driven there by a state trooper who the rapper said 'was the greatest.'
