Some musicians take more kindly to stage invaders than others; the likes of Morrissey, for example, actively encourage people to jump the barrier between crowd and performer.
Others aren't too fond of having their personal space violated.
Footage has emerged of Earl Sweatshirt - a member of the Odd Future hip-hop collective - playing a gig in Sydney on Saturday night. A fan makes it onto the stage and grabs the rapper from behind mid-song, attempting to take his mic.

He later tweeted about the incident, saying:
keep your hands to yourself and don't sneak up on niggas in the middle of soul bearing
